For me, this chocolate is a great option for both milk and dark chocolate lovers because it contains 45% cocoa so is both creamy yet ultra-rich and chocolatey too.

I adore honeycomb, so couldn’t wait to try Butterm!lk’s vegan milk chocolate egg with crunchy honeycomb flakes. It even comes with a generously-sized Honeycomb Blast bar that is super chunky – far bigger than a certain non-vegan chocolate bar! The chocolate has a fantastic snap, a gorgeous gloss to the shell, and notes of vanilla in the tasting. In the past, vegan white chocolate has always slightly missed the mark in terms of flavour and can often be too sweet. However, I was pleasantly surprised with MooFree’s lemon white chocolate – the subtle taste of lemon balances the sweetness perfectly without being too tart for younger mouths. It’s 70% dark milk chocolate, so has all the intensity and rich flavouring that you expect from 70% chocolate, but isn’t quite as bitter, which is where the ‘dark milk’ comes in. The vegan white chocolate is made using rice and oat milk so it melts with ease, filling your mouth with a buttery sweetness and creamy vanilla flavour.I love Kinder Surprise and all the Surprise easter range is gluten free along with some other Kinder products. This list doesn't include any regular "available all the time" chocolate, you can find any gluten free chocolate that is available all year round in this blog - UK Gluten Free Chocolate and Sweets These are all individually wrapped in foil and have a slightly different flavour to the chocolate in the egg. The chocolate is slightly darker in colour, and the flavour is a little more fruity, with hints of dark cherry, which gives a really nice contrast to the egg itself.

Who doesn't love mini eggs? Those and many other Cadbury easter eggs are gluten free, if you miss Cadbury caramel bars you may be delighted to know that caramel eggs are gluten free unlike the bars. Ethical chocolate brand Love Cocoa, which was created by the great-great-great grandson of the original Mr Cadbury, has a real treat for dark chocolate lovers this Easter. It also gives it a subtle hint of hazelnut flavour that makes the vegan chocolate taste really decadent, a little like a praline. If you are shopping at Asda this year there are a few gluten free choices in easter eggs you can choice from though most of them are part of the free from range so dairy free too. The egg itself forms the body of Romney sheep, with four mini marshmallows making up the legs, and half marshmallows dotted all over the body for the fur. The face is made from a chocolate panel fixed onto the pointed end of the egg. This had sadly snapped in half during transit for me, but it was easily fixed with a little extra melted chocolate. This egg is genuinely stunning, the unique out casing is hand-painted in India, and each flavour has its own distinct floral design. Inside, the egg is lined with fabric and filled with Booja Booja’s legendary organic vegan truffles.

Gluten-free: Yes but it may contain trace amounts as it is not manufactured in a dedicated gluten facility The chocolate has a deeply satisfying snap when you break a piece off, and the taste is on the rich, earthy side of the flavour spectrum, with woody tobacco notes. It’s just bitter enough to know that it’s a good quality dark chocolate, but doesn’t dry out your mouth too much. Romney isn’t particularly big, so this is on the more expensive side for an Easter treat, but for fans of both dark chocolate and marshmallows it’s a must. The chocolate egg is made from dark chocolate, which is really rich in cocoa and leaves the comforting taste of sweet cocoa powder in your mouth. It’s the kind of flavour you get with a mug of really good dark hot chocolate.

Cadbury Heroes Share Chocolate Box (385g)

Moo Free is the perfect vegan chocolate brand for kids. Its adorable characters and bite-size vegan bars make it easy for parents to give their children a chocolate treat without dairy. If you like your vegan chocolate sweet and creamy then look out for these melt-in-the-mouth vegan milk chocolate eggs this Easter. 1. H!P Salty Pretzel Oat M!lk Chocolate Easter Egg Although the dark chocolate on its own might usually be a little too intense for kids, when it’s teamed with the marshmallows the sweet, sugary marshmallow takes the edge off the cocoa in the most perfect balance. They’re really good marshmallows too. As all the contents are made from either recycled board or home compostable film, this is certainly one treat you can give to the kids with a clear conscience.
