HANLEES Makerbase MKS DLC32 Offline Controller 32bits ESP32 WIFI GRBL TFT Touch Screen for desktop laser engraving machine (DLC32-TMC2209 Kit)
- Brand: Unbranded
Description
This board can also be controlled by a mobile APP with various functions, as well as can be used with LaserGRBL and LightBurn PC software. New here - Not sure this is the right Community for this question, so if not, please let me know so I might redirect.
Thanks to the high-speed IO flip speed of the main control module and a powerful timer, MKS DLC32 can achieve a very high-speed engraving speed, which has been measured to reach 8000mm/min Sculpfun S9 with S10 head. Controller is replaced with a Makerbase MKS DLC32. I use endstops at the top right corner I connected everything. First I configured the laser to work with the touch screen. After doing that (and getting it to work, which means: moving in the desired direction with the controlbuttons and homing to the top right), I hooked it up to Lightburn (licenced) by wifi. Homing searches for a switch in the positive direction. Set axis bit (00000ZYX) to search in negative direction. The details can refer to XYZ-TABLE

Yes, it’s a crappy photo. Sorry about that. Like I mentioned, I have a shake I can’t much control most days.
I can get the laser to move in the desired direction with the cursor arrows in Lightburn but as soon as I start a job (or draw a frame), the head wants to move to positive coördinates (so, to the left of the laserframe and over the front of the laserframe) If your 3d printer have multiple extruders or z-axis motors, you need pay attention to the number of motor interfaces, motor driver slots, hot-end heater slots, hot-end thermal port, and limit-switch ports. MKS has also developed a supporting mobile phone APP, witch can edit pictures, convert pictures into engraving files, and transfer them to the main board in addition to addition to conventional control. With these settings there is just one ‘problem’ that the origin is top right and the coördinates go from top right (0,0) to bottom left (+400,+385). GPIO32 at the spindle location is a controlable Ground only, this is how IT controls spindle RPM when being used for a millAnother highlight of MKS DLC32 is that it can be used offline, without connecting to a computer, you can use the matching 3.5-inch touch screen for control, engraving, etc., which is very convenient.
GPIO32 that is located at TTL section, will deliver up to 5v of power to trigger the laser, this is how you get PWM control is by the firmware varying the voltage. Most MKS 3d printer boards are compatible with A4988, TMC2208/TMC2225, and TMC2209/TMC2226. If the board have external Stepper driver ports, you can connect stepper drivers of larger current such as TMC 2160-OC/TMC 2160-57. such as filament-run-out sensor, Power-off resume, auto-leveling sensor, expansion ports(12c, SPI, UART, CAN), etc... Inverts the direction signal. Set axis bit to invert (00000ZYX). The details can refer to XYZ-TABLE Most of the low cost controllers on these machines use a 8 bit based pwm. That means they are slicing the PWM based on 0 to 255 or 256 steps from zero power to full power. The STM32 MCU has a 16 bit pwm so it’s resolution is 0 to 65535 or 65536 (steps from zero to full power.) That is the advantage they advocate and properly so. It is an advantage to have finer power control.https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003246449359.html?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_home.productList_845147861.pic_9 Hardware
