Overall: A- ( Really well done performance trainer keeping the weight down and balancing simplicity and innovation) A similar shoe in the same family is the ASICS Evo Ride 3’s or the Glide Ride 3’s. Both are part of the Guidesole series. My first impression when opening the box was “Whoa.” The eye-catching colors are very loud and vibrant. I love that about them. I’ve been wearing a lot of neutral-colored running shoes and these have been a good change-up. Just looking at them gives you more energy. Stability: B+ ( Traction throughout could be better and the amount of exposed foam could be filled a tad to round out the shoe stability wise) My second critique cuts deeper, as style in running is on an equal playing field for me with substance. Why I fell in love with this line in the first place was its unapologetic silliness and a crazy shoe that seemed to stand alone in Asics’ offering. In this go-around, I didn’t receive pink bungee laces along with the standard ones (maybe I’ll get some aftermarket), and the Noosa Tri logo has been moved to a small space on the heel while the traditional ASICS logo now dominates the side and forefoot of the shoe.

Perhaps the striking aspect of the new shoe is its brightly colored and eye-catching graphics, which are inspired by brush strokes from some of the iconic works of Vincent Van Gogh. These distinctive graphics are complemented by some updated “NOOSA TRI” graphics. ASICS state: The NOOSA TRI™ 15 running shoe is comfortable and ideal for a smooth running experience. It’s lightweight, so you don’t have to compromise on speed during your training or a triathlon. The shoe’s FLYTEFOAM™ technology is light and provides enough comfort without weighing you down. Plus, its comfortable upper design makes it easier to put on and take off during different stages of a triathlon. An increased toe spring means a high upward curve at the front of the shoe, which helps propel you forward and increases your speed during runs. Trying them on for the first time, I noticed right away the tongue and how easy they were to slip my feet into them. They fit true to size with no break-in period needed. They have a very comfortable feel but still had a slightly firm one. I enjoy a tad stiffer shoes when using them for running at a faster pace. Performance: A- ( Really lively and nimble ride from heel to toe. The shoe is incredibly light and still responsive for the category. Traction could be better.)
