About this deal

He knows she's staying at the family vacation house so he decides to go there and see if any of the connection they had online can translate in person. As one of the owners of the Salacious Players' Club, he's comfortable on the sidelines and has always felt that he works best alone. I really enjoyed seeing an extremely accurate depiction of functional depression with major depression episodes. Sure I guess, AS LONG AS THERE ISN’T A SIXTEEN YEAR AGE GAP AND OUR MALE LEAD KNEW HIS LITTLE SISTER SINCE SHE WAS EIGHT. Seriously Sara must have laced this book with some magic cause I will never not RAVE about this book.

Even though he knows it’s a bad idea there’s no talking himself out of hitting the ‘request private room’ button, and it’s from this night on that everything changes. When Garret comes across his stepsister online and realizes she's a cam girl, he knows he should leave. I mean, he’s known her since she was eight, they are 13 years apart and she still lives at home with them. And honestly, that’s my issue with Garret— he lies to Mia the whole book, he isn’t honest about his feelings, he expects commitment and exclusivity (which is whack when he knows she’s a cam girl, like literally it’s her job! Eyes On Me (such a catchy name) tells Garret's story and how he suddenly finds out his stepsister Mia is a cam girl.

A prime example is Robin Williams, he was one of the funniest, high energy, happy go lucky guys on the planet.

It’s seriously, one of the most debilitating chronic illnesses, not just in mental health but in the entire gamut. It's was the character connection for me that made a world of difference between the first book and this one. So though this book is definitely not for everyone, I would recommend it to those seeking a heavy, taboo filled read.

I was uncomfy with it in book one, but at least there Charlie talks about being attracted to her and there’s *some* allusion to her maybe exploring her sexuality? NO, Mia clearly says that he still has episodes and still goes to therapy and that everyday they work for his happiness AND THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO SEE. For a sex worker, she was quite naive about a lot of things and her attitude of 'I'm not gonna befriend other women because they're catty' is so immature. The premise alone will turn off many readers: Mia Harris, 23, has long been in love with her stepbrother, Garrett Porter. And also the existence of queer men isn’t “crazy”🙄 added to the fact that earlier when he finds out Drake is also attracted to men his response is a wide eyed, shocked thought “well you learn something new every day” just rubbed me the wrong way. I felt an instant connection to Emerson and I never felt anything towards Garrett throughout the first book in the series - objective, of course. There is some great set up for the next relationship and I am very much anticipating how Sara Cate brings it to life. In the last two weeks, my stepsister has gone from being the pesky little girl I watched grow up into the only person on the earth that I want to see when I open my eyes in the morning. The parents’ easy acceptance didn’t ring true, no parents would have been ok with this without some push back and possible anger/worry/disappointment whatever.

Garrett is a broken man who has his many issues and it broke my heart to learn he’s been suffering in silence all these years, the only thing to calm the mania inside his head has been Mia. It was hot and steamy in all the right places but also managed to include mental health and show real light on feelings and real world issues, which I will always appreciate in a Sara Cate story.

It's enough time for the relationship to develop and grow, but not so much time that they are out of the "honeymoon" phase.
