The art is competent enough that I would otherwise like this version, but I just can't get past the little details, especially considering that being emotionless is a core part of Ayanokouji's character. Maybe not internally (he thinks a lot about wanting friends but is too shy to act on it), but in outwardly expressing it (later in the series, he beats up another student who instigates the fight, but he says that he feels just as bored doing it as he would from doing any other boring thing).
