Rizmo also gets moody when you ignore him. This was pretty funny, as we were watching a film and suddenly he started making all these crazy noises! He looked and sounded sulky! We had to press his button a few times and give him some attention to snap him out of it!!

When you first open Rizmo it is in a baby form. It has two coloured eyes, a button on the nose and two feet which allow it to move up and down. How many settings does baby Rizmo have? You will know when Rizmo is ready to evolve as his eyes will start to flash different colours. You must place him on a flat surface and give him lots of encouragement to evolve when his eyes turn white. It won’t take long and he will evolve into a kid . Kid Rizmo Have you heard of Rizmo? He is a cute musical friend who has travelled very far to get to Earth. He has a love for music and dance but needs help to evolve. I first saw Rizmo when I went to Dream Toys in November. I managed to evolve mine from baby to kid in 15 minutes, it then took an additional 25 minutes to evolve it into adult mode. However if you fail to interact with it properly while it is evolving then you need to start again. How do you play with Rizmo in kid mode?

We also noticed in all modes, Rizmo breaks wind and this made us giggle a lot! To get Rizmo to evolve you need to collect musical points which you gain by playing with it. You also need to have recorded a minimum of 15 songs/noises. When the eyes flash different colours you place Rizmo on a flat surface and when the eyes glow white you need to cheer and encourage Rizmo, through noise, to evolve. IF you don’t make enough noise then Rizmo will not evolve and will need playing with some more until he is ready to try again. How long does it take to evolve Rizmo? We left Rizmo for a little while and me and her younger sister (who is three, fully supervised) to have a play and try and evolve Rizmo to an adult. You repeat the same stages as above to get Rizmo to evolve again. In Kid Mode, you can play with him the same way as when he was in baby mode with the colours doing the same thing. Earn more musical points and record more songs so that Rizmo will be ready to evolve again. You will need to cheer even louder and for even longer this time round. How to play with Rizmo in adult mode (fully evolved)You can also play a game when his belly is blue. Move him side to side, up and down and clap and his belly will change colours, depending on what you do. If you’re worried about all the noise that Rizmo can make there is also a volume control setting that the children wouldn’t easily find. This is perfect if you need things a little quieter. When you are ready to stop playing with Rizmo you can swing him to sleep. Don’t forget to turn him off at his base to give him a real rest.

Little E has continually played with Rizmo and he keeps her very entertained. What Did I Love About Rizmo? You have to move him depending on the colour of his chest.When fully evolved Rizmo has a light-up stomach and has gained two new play modes and he can also get very grumpy. The two new play modes are Pink which is dance mode and light blue which is a colour game. Rizmo can also get grumpy if ignored so you need to give him lots of love and attention. Can Rizmo be evolved again? After a lot of playing, on the second day Rizmo was ready to evolve! We knew it was ready as his eyes started changing colour from red to green to yellow. You have to place Rizmo on a FLAT surface, so we put him on the table. When the eyes are white we cheered and Rizmo evolved!! To choose the game you want to play you must press the button on top of Rizmo’s head. Change his eyes to the required game and swing him down to confirm. He will confirm your selection by saying ‘Ready Go!’. I was impressed with Rizmo, as I found the evolving side of the product really original and unique. It also took a long time for each evolving stage. You have to record at least 15 songs per stage and get 25 musical points (you hear this when you get one). My eldest and I sat down to test him and we actually didn’t get him to evolve until the next day! It took another day before we moved from toddler to adult.
